Do publishers think that Americans are totally stupid? (Don't answer that.) I read a book yesterday - set in England - yet, the characters use dollars... Now I haven't been to Merry Old in a few years, but last I recall, they were resisting even a change to Euros. Blair and Bush may be buddy buddy, but I don't think the average Brit would go for the currency switch. The worst part? The author was British. The rest of the book was witty and clever... I can't bear to think that she was the one insulting my intelligence.
